What’s a Story?

In real life, most people chat about their adventures, achievements, funny events and interesting encounters. Talking about individual experiences is the same as telling a personal story. It’s normal and natural.

When meeting a new girl for the first time, a guy needs to convey in an indirect way that he is interesting, perhaps witty and a little cheeky, and fun to be with. Why otherwise would a girl date him? A guy cannot tell a girl directly that’s he’s fun to be with, interesting, and charming because she probably won’t believe him. Imagine a guy walking up to a girl and saying, “Come on date with me because I’m interesting and funny”. I just can’t see him getting a date!

Instead a guy conveys to a girl that he’s interesting and fun to be with by telling personal stories. A girl will be able tell if he’s interesting and entertaining by simply listening to him.

Personally, I’ve got about 20 or more stories. Most last only a couple of minutes and a few are over 5 minutes long. Some are very funny, some convey that I’m honest, hard-working, confident and interesting to be with, others show different aspects of my personality and character.

Personal stories can convey anything but it’s usually something positive such as an admirable character or personality trait. Like being:

• Adventurous
• Ambitious
• Fun-loving
• Protective
• Courageous
• Understanding
• Decisive
• Relaxed
• Humorous

In the coming weeks and months I will show you how to create your own funny and interesting stories, and it’s really easy do! And story telling is one of the most powerful ways to build attraction!
